Something of a child prodigy, Scarlet Stein was a competition standard 'taekwondo' exponent and had won numerous scientific awards, grants and bursaries before her 18th Birthday. In her early twenties she abandoned a promising career in research to embrace the challenge of space exploration.
She died as she lived, aged 36, applying her keen scientific incite and highly developed sense of principles to very real problems.
Her body was not recovered from the Klinsman Noble mining platform.
She is survived by no living relatives.
